The Rev David Coleman, Environmental Chaplain to Eco Congregation Scotland, presented the Bronze Eco-Congregation award won by the congregation, supported by our Eco Group, during worship on Sunday 3 August.
Members of the Eco Group took part in the service – Anne Fallow singing a Kyrie as a response in the prayer of approach, Fiona Davies reading a lesson and The Rev Matthew Bicket reflecting on recycling in Bangladesh – which took off there many years before countries in the West.
The Rev Dorothy U Anderson took the service and The Rev David Coleman preached on the need for Christians to recognise their responsibility to the Earth for ourselves – but also for future generations.
