Our arrangements for this year’s collection are different.
For many years, the congregation (along with the Rainbows, Brownies and Toddlers) has generously supported the work of Circle Scotland by donating toys for distribution to families at Christmas.
This year Circle has suggested that, while toys are always needed and welcome, they would also like to be able to fund family Christmas treats such as a trip to the pantomime or the cinema.
So, our request is that the congregation might EITHER give a toy/voucher as in previous years OR consider giving a cash gift. Circle would then buy tickets for a pantomime or festive film for families or groups of children.
So, on Sunday 7 December, there will be the usual table for the collection of toys. There will also be a ‘Festive Bucket’ for cash. There will be envelopes available for cash gifts (with a Gift Aid option). No cheques please.
The envelopes will be available on Sunday 30 November in case you wish to complete the Gift Aid section ahead of time.
