Goodbye, Dorothy – and welcome, Matthew

On Sunday 28 September we bade farewell to the Rev Dorothy U Anderson, who has been our locum for about three and a half years. Joint Session Clerk, Helen Hannan,  spoke warmly of her ministry with us – conducting Sunday worship, funeral services, doing much appreciated pastoral work and so much more.

At the end of the service she was presented with a cheque to buy something for her new home and flowers.

We will miss her and we wish her and her husband, Bruce, well as they move forward.

Fortunately for us, the Rev Matthew Bicket, who is a member of the  congregation, has agreed to act as locum to the end of December.  We look forward to having him in our pulpit on a weekly basis and working with us on pastoral matters.

Matthew and Dorothy are pictured together on the Sunday in August that the congregation was awarded the Bronze Eco-congregation Award.
