Tuesday 17 February saw a very happy and successful Shrove Tuesday event which raised £424.
With it being the schools’ mid-term, a number of young families were able to attend. We also welcomed members of other local churches. Our minister-in-waiting, Shahrukh Gill, dropped in with his wife, Essi, and their baby, Timo.
The first £60 is being sent by the ECO group to a garden in Africa with which we are twinned. The balance will be split between Guild projects and our church funds.
Fiona Davies, a member of the ECO group and Guild President commented, ‘Great team of helpers and lots of lovely folk came along.’
