This morning (12 October) a large congregation – including quite a number of our Early Birds families – thought about the importance of harvest – to prevent starvation and to encourage sharing. An amazing area of foodstuffs – tins, jars, packets and bottles were all given for Granton Food Bank – a local charity which we support throughout the year – but especially at harvest. Fair Trade for farmers at home and abroad was stressed – even the flowers in the sanctuary were Fair Trade blooms.
The flowers to day were donated by Lorna Wright and arranged by Margaret Colquhoun.
