As we reach the end of another year, we look back and we look forward.
As we look back we can see how far we have come. There were many ups and many downs, some small and everyday, others bigger, and some life changing.
Our Benediction on Sunday
Give thanks for the gifts which the year that is ending has brought you;
for surprises of grace that came your way when your hope was nearly gone;
and for love which found you when you were at your lowest.
Bless the year for all you have learned, all you have loved, and even all you have lost.
Bless the year for what you have discovered.
Bless the year for who you have become.
Even more, bless the God in whose hands all our years unfold.
And so, we look ahead.
As people of the world, it is time to celebrate new beginnings.
We step into the new year with faith!
As people of faith, it is time to look ahead in hope.
We step into the new year with hope!
As people of hope, it is time to walk in the footsteps of Jesus
We step forward together as God’s family!
