In this fourth advent week, we wait as the Light grows even stronger through the darkness. This week we are lighting a fourth Advent candle until all 5 are lit.
The light is growing weekly as we approach Christmas Day when we will celebrate the arrival of Jesus; Emmanuel (God with us), A Light in the Darkness.
Long ago the prophet Micah declared, “But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah…from you shall come forth for me one who is to rule in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.” But what if Micah is also talking to us, today? What might God be calling forth from us?
We light this candle of LOVE as a sign of our commitment to live in the knowledge of God’s promise of salvation and flourishing for all people

A Blessing.
As we wait for Christ to return,
let us live as people of hope, and go with God’s blessing.
May hope in Christ’s return sustain us,
God’s peace saturate the world around us,
the joy of the Holy Spirit strengthen us,
and the love of God encircle us,
in this moment and in all the moments to come.
