The sun shone gloriously on Saturday 29 August as the congregation – young and old – enjoyed a picnic in the church garden. Quite a number of folk from the groups who use our halls came to meet us, tell us what they did, give us a demonstration and encourage audience participation!
Thanks go to U3A dancing, the International Folk Dance Group, the New Edinburgh Orchestra, Yoga and Karate for keeping us entertained. Thanks, too, to the people from our own groups (Toddler, Pram Service and Early Birds) and from Guiding who set up activities for younger folk.
We also enjoyed some community singing, accompanied by Shahrukh, Pam and James Robertson and Drew Walker.
The Mission and Discipleship Team put a lot of thought into the day and they are to be congratulated on its success.
All in all a very happy event.
