Last week I stood by the ocean watching the rollers come in after the storm and it brought to mind the words of this old hymn.
The tune it is sung to (Ebenezer) has the rolling of the waves in it.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus!
Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free,
rolling as a mighty ocean
in its fullness over me.
Underneath me, all around me,
is the current of thy love;
leading onward, leading homeward,
to thy glorious rest above.
