Harvest
This part of the Church Year includes a Harvest Service. Ours is on Sunday. The children will be involved in bringing their gifts of foods for the local Food Bank at Granton into the church and we will give thanks for what we have and think of those for whom life is a struggle even in our locality.
In the Lord’s Prayer, we are told to ask for our daily bread.
Those things that we each need so we can manage whatever comes our way each day. Then ask again the next day, as we journey through life.
So, at Harvest we can think about ourselves and our daily bread;
we can think about those around us and what is their daily bread.
