On Sunday, one of the themes was the speed of modern life, the overwhelming rush to get things done that can swamp us and destroy our peace, making us too busy to have time for each other.
Psalm 23 reminds us that we need to spend time with God to refresh our souls to face the coming week.
So we read Psalm 23 in the Japanese version slowly with pictures.

The Lord is my Pace-setter, I shall not rush;
He makes me stop and rest for quiet intervals.
He provides me with images of stillness, which restore my serenity;

He leads me in ways of efficiency through calmness of mind, and His guidance is peace.

Even though I have a great many things to accomplish each day,
I will not fret, for His presence is here.

His timelessness, His all-importance, will keep me in balance.

He prepares refreshment and renewal in the midst of my activity,
anointing my mind with His oils of tranquility.
My cup of joyous energy overflows.

Surely harmony and effectiveness shall be the fruits of my hours,
For I shall walk in the pace of my Lord, and dwell in His house forever. AMEN
Take the final blessing with you into this week as you walk your path through your own challenges.
BLESSING
Go out into the world with faith that clings in the dark.
We will hold on to God’s love.
Go out with courage to wrestle for justice.
We will keep knocking on the door of hope.
Go out with hearts ready to be changed.
We will walk into the dawn with God.
