Wednesday Reflection
How often do we hear the words ‘Lets get back to basics’.
Sometimes life seems awfully complicated with must do’s; should do’s; would like to do’s; people to care for; our health issues; our worries for the future; all crowding in for our attention and energy.
On Monday we were reminded of the need to get back to basics at the Pram Service.
A service full of happiness with the small children:- ‘What is the Bible’.
We sang a simple song:-
“God’s word is very special, God’s word is very special,
God’s word is very special, it shows us how to live.”
We read stories, made bookmarks and finished with this prayer:-
“We may be small and not able to read yet but let us hear your stories in the Bible.
If we listen we will all learn how to behave and how to treat other people.
Everybody, big and small, young and old, need instruction books at some times in our lives to help us solve our problems.
Show us how to use the Bible to do this. Amen
