Wednesday Reflection
Paul lived in Rome for 2 whole years and welcomed all who came to him.
Paul reached Rome at last after his dreadful sea journey. Here, he was under house arrest for the next 2 years. But even then he welcomed all who came to him and spoke about the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ. In our second reading (3 John ch 1: 2-8) we hear of Gaius who looked after strangers who came through his town.
Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes the least of these, welcomes me.” Matthew 25.
As one of our hymns says,” Preaching Christ and not our customs. Let us build a bridge of care, joining hands across the nations, finding neighbours everywhere.
By our gentle, loving actions, we will show that Christ is light. In a humble, listening Spirit, we will live to God’s delight.”
