Pilgrimage Plants update
We have been following the fate of the seeds and small plants planted by those who visited the Church back in April during Lent on our Pilgrimage day.
Last month we saw the effects of the weather and the birds. Not much progress, not a lot of growth. Some actually shriveled up, others have struggled and hardly grown.

However, the gardeners have been busy and have sorted out these small plants and moved them into fewer, larger pots; given them some more water and kept a close eye on them. Now they look as though there will be more growth from the ones that have hung on through the difficult times and have survived to reach better times.

With patience and loving care they will survive and even surpass our first hopes of an abundant and beautiful show even if it all takes more time than we wanted.
It is going to be a long haul for these plants and for those of us who had hoped for quick results.
We will need patience and to do a lot of nurturing.
Jesus told a parable, in fact quite a few parables based on seeds growing, fig trees not producing fruit, weeds in the harvest, reminding us that we too should be growing, producing fruit. Sometimes there are hard conditions to grow in, difficult times to flourish in but in due time, often needing much patience, the fruit will appear.
And, of course, there is a Gardener to sort out and provide nourishment for the plants.
